Japanese 19th C. Ashinaga-Tenaga Metal Figurines - Japapnese19th century mixed metal figural candlesticks of Ashinaga-tenaga. Ashinaga-tenaga (”Long Legs Long Arms”) are a pair of yokai in Japanese folklore. One, Ashinaga-jin, has extremely long legs, while the other, Tenaga-jin, has extremely long arms. The two work together as a team to catch fish by the seashore. Both figural candlesticks measure approx. 11,75” tall & 4.5” wide at the base. See photos for further details.
