19th C. Japanese Satsuma Hexagonal Vase Pair - Pair of 19th century Japanese hexagonal Satsuma vases w/ relief design of scholars or other men of higher status playing instruments in an outdoor scene w/ a child amongst them. Vases also feature a crackle glaze / crazing w/ primarily blue, blue-green, red, + gold coloring. Items measure approx. 12” tall, 5” across the points of the hexagon at the mouth, + 7” across at the widest points of the body. Crack in the foot of one vase as seen in photos.
