Bronze Figural Clock, J.J. Salmson (Fr. 1823-1902) - Very fine heavy bronze figural mantle clock depicting a seated scholar holding a quill, signed on the back right edge by French sculptor Jean Jules Bernard Salmson (French 1823-1902). Item is untested, with enameled face, key wound, measuring approx. 20” W x 9” D x 17.5” H. Note: in need of hinge repair on bezel glass cover. Clock is very heavy, weighing 49lbs, and will require special arrangements for pick up or shipping.
