Asian Lacquerware Items - A large Asian lacquered storage box with a domed lid, decorated in red on black with Buddhist-style designs. Sides feature mythological figures with serpent-like bodies, and the lid shows a seated figure with a large fan-shaped halo. Condition is as seen in photos. Also included is a small carved cinnabar lacquer box with deeply detailed peony motifs, and a carved cinnabar egg featuring floral designs, with a longevity symbol on the base displayed in a presentation case. Box measures approx. 8.75” H with a diameter of 12”. Condition: Absence of a condition statement does not imply the lot is in perfect condition, free from flaws, restoration, or the effects of aging.
