Pair of Japanese Usubata Vases - Pair of Japanese mixed metal usubata form vases, each having a wide flared rim above a baluster-form body, decorated with relief figural scenes of scholars and attendants. Raised decorative borders and stylized motifs to the bases. Both retain incised character marks to underside. Bases detach, one with denting to base. Each measures approx. 12.75” tall x 7.75” diameter. A traditional, 2-part vessel specifically designed for Ikebana (flower arranging).
