AN EARLY AMERICAN FEDERAL INFANTRY OFFICERS SWORD - With well-modeled brass eagle head pommel and stirrup guard with drooping quillon, the robust curved blade lightly curved, fullered and blued and gilt with floral sprays and stands of arms with a shield bearing 15 stars, and striped making it post-1792. In its leather scabbard with silvered brass mounts. Well worn overall. Late 18th-early 19th century. Some wear overall, silvering much rubbed. Overall length 91.5 cm / 36 inches. Condition III
