A FINE OTTOMAN FLINTLOCK KUBUR PISTOL - Italian work for the Ottoman market, with fine and elaborate carving on the hardwood stock, the brass butt elaborately embellished and the mounts engraved and profiled. With engraved and chiseled, stepped barrel and inlaid lock, the escutcheon plate gilt, nielled and set with glass gems. C. 1750-1780. Minor wear. Overall length 51cm./ 20 1/8 inches. Condition II
