SIMKA SIMKHOVICH 1935 OIL ON CANVAS STILL LIFE FLOWERS
This 1935 oil on canvas still life features a vibrant arrangement of zinnias and mixed blooms displayed in a white ceramic pitcher against a muted, textured green background. The composition demonstrates a confident use of impasto and color harmony, characteristic of the period. Signed and dated "Simka Simkhovitch 1935" in red pigment along the lower left edge, the work is by the Russian-American artist Simka Simkhovich (1893–1949), known for his successful transition from the Russian avant-garde to American scene painting.
