AFTER TOULOUSE-LAUTREC FRENCH PORTRAIT PASTEL DRAWING - This expressive pastel and chalk drawing on brown paper is executed in the style of Henri de Toulouse-Lautrec (French, 1864–1901) and depicts two gentlemen in nineteenth-century attire, including top hats and a bowl hat, with one figure holding a cigar. The composition utilizes bold, gestural strokes and a vibrant color palette of red, blue, and yellow to define the figures against a sketchy background. A signature reading ”Lautrec” is present in the lower right corner, and the reverse includes a label associated with the Tucson Museum of Art.
