Signed with initials ”VK” and dated 1989 to the right. Framed. Viktor Kazarin was a Russian artist, friend and collaborator of Anatoly Zverev. In the early 1990s, Kazarin was dubbed the ”father of Russian neo-Expressionism.” Large-format canvases with pasty sweeping strokes and dripping elements, balancing on the edge between figurativeness and abstraction, sonorous color combinations and the energy of natural rhythms are recognizable features of the artist's unique style.
