KAROLY FULOP POLYCHROME RELIEF PLAQUE NATIVITY - This substantial polychrome ceramic relief by Karoly Fulop (1893–1963) is consistent with his major mid-century decorative commissions. The composition features a stylized Nativity scene, blending Byzantine detail with Secessionist Modernism, and is characterized by a dense arrangement of figures holding crimson hearts and gold-toned architectural spires. The work is executed in high relief with a rich palette of blues, pinks, and golds typical of Fulop’s spiritual, allegorical style. The reverse features a wood backing signed ”KAROLY FULOP” and is fitted with a heavy-duty wire for wall mounting.
