GAV TRAUGOT HAND COLORED BOOK ILLUSTRATION PORTFOLIO - G. A. V. Traugot. A collection of 27 book illustrations in portfolio, 1999–2000. Linear monoprints hand-colored with watercolor. Brothers Valery (1936-2009) and Alexander (born 1931) Traugot started working together with their father, George Traugot (1903–1961), on book illustrations under the pseudonym G. A. V. Traugot in 1956. Together, the Leningrad-based trio created graphic works for more than 200 books, the most famous being the fairy tales by Hans Christian Andersen, Charles Perrault and Alexander Pushkin.
