SWISS LITHOGRAPH PORTRAIT OF BRAQUE AFTER GIACOMETTI - A lithographic print after Alberto Giacometti's (Swiss, 1901–1966) poignant 1964 portrait of his friend and fellow artist, Georges Braque, on his deathbed. The print bears a red ”AG” monogram and a circular ”Original Giacometti” gallery stamp in the lower right corner. The paper exhibits noticeable age toning and acid burn (darkening), most prominently along the top margin. Not examined outside of the frame. Housed under glass in a modern silver-tone metal frame with a dark blue mat.
