DAVID BURLIUK ORIGINAL WATERCOLOR RURAL SCENE PAINTING - An original watercolor on paper by celebrated Russian-American modernist David Burliuk (1882–1967). Executed in his signature neo-primitivist style, the vibrant composition depicts a nostalgic rural scene featuring a robust peasant woman in the foreground, a resting cow, and a horse-drawn hay cart under a vivid sky with a crescent moon. Signed ”BURLIUK.” in red block letters in the lower right corner. The reverse of the paper bears pencil annotations, including what appears to be ”D. Burliuk 1946”. The piece is housed in a handsome wooden frame under UV-protective conservation glass.
