The composition features a blue vase holding yellow and orange flowers, a shallow blue dish, and a row of books supported by distinctive green, Art Deco style gazelle or antelope bookends. The painting is signed in the lower right corner ”N. gontcharova” along with a date that appears to read 1906. The reverse of the frame bears a stamp for the Crescent Framing Co. of North Miami Beach, Florida.
