BATIA MAGAL ISRAELI MIXED MEDIA COLLAGE PAINTING - Batia Magal (Israeli, born 1953). Mixed media painting on paper. Distinctive style characterized by the usage of calligraphic drawings and bright color spots reminiscent of stained glass windows. The composition features two contemplative female figures, elements of still life, and a painting withing the painting: a pasted color print of a Dutch Golden Age winter landscape with ice skaters. Undated. Signed 'B. Magal' lower left. Framed. Batia Magal studied at the Avni Institute for Art and the Kalmania Art School where she was influenced by Yehezkel Streichman and Jacob Wexler.
