Distinctively, each piece is executed directly onto a textured wood panel. The artist features a hand-painted bust portrait of a historical Ottoman Sultan set against a brilliant, Ebru-style background, allowing the natural vertical wood grain to show through the composition. Each portrait is signed ”Adnan Kılıç” to the lower edge. The reverse of each frame is hand-inscribed with the name and reigning dates of the depicted ruler, including Suleiman the Magnificent, Selim I, and Bayezid I.
