MEISSEN PORCELAIN FIGURE OF THE DRUNKEN SILENUS - An antique German hand-painted porcelain figurine by Meissen. Dated mid-19th century. Modelled by Ernst August Leuteritz, ca. 1860–1870.The piece represents Silenus supported by Bacchus and slumped on a donkey which is fed grapes by a maiden relaxing on the ground, and a putto playing with its tail.
