ANTIQUE RUSSIAN PORCELAIN PLATES BY KORNILOV BROS - A pair of matching Russian porcelain dinner plates by Kornilov Brothers. Dated ca. 1900-1917. Hand-painted bird and flower blossom motifs. The scenes are rendered with delicate brushwork in subdued tones of brown, gray, pale green, turquoise, and soft pink against a milky white ground, reflecting the influence of Western European naturalism combined with Russian decorative taste of the late Imperial period. Scalloped rims. Each piece is marked with an overglaze printing manufacturer’s stamp on the verso. Produced for the domestic market.
