RUSSIAN STYLE SILVER ENAMEL EYEGLASS CASE - A vibrant vintage silver and polychrome enamel case, suitable for eyeglasses, executed in the traditional Imperial Russian taste. The heavy silver body (tested) features a bright turquoise blue ground profusely decorated with scrolling floral motifs, daisies, and geometric borders. The decoration is achieved using fine twisted silver wire filigree to separate the richly shaded glass enamels. The hinged lid is fitted with a push-button clasp and opens to reveal a red velvet-lined interior, likely added later to protect glass lenses.
