FABERGE IMPERIAL RUSSIAN GOLD & ENAMEL RED CROSS BROOCH - A superb and historically important Imperial Russian jeweled, two-color gold, and guilloché enamel Red Cross brooch by Fabergé, circa 1914–1917. The circular openwork brooch features a central red cross with concentric square engine-turning beneath translucent red enamel, framed by opaque white enamel. The cross is set within a yellow and rose gold ring, accented by four rose-cut diamonds set in oxidized silver mounts. The brooch represents the wartime production of the House of Fabergé, closely associated with the Romanov family's patronage of the Red Cross during WWI. Housed in its original silk and velvet-lined fitted case stamped for Fabergé (St. Petersburg, Moscow, Odessa, London). Marks: Stamped on the pin stem with Cyrillic initials 'KF' for Karl Fabergé, and '56' zolotnik mark with a right-facing kokoshnik (1908-1917). Includes the original fitted Fabergé presentation box, which shows minor, age-appropriate exterior wear.
