ENGLISH STERLING SILVER CRYSTAL ICE BUCKET & GORHAM TONGS - A handsome, heavy late 19th-century diamond-cut crystal ice bucket with solid English sterling silver mounts, accompanied by a pair of antique American sterling silver ice tongs. The crystal bucket features a swinging handle and a removable pierced sterling silver draining insert. The rim, handle mounts, and insert are all fully hallmarked for London, 1896, with the maker's mark ”J.S & S”. The accompanying heavy sterling silver claw tongs feature an ornate floral repoussé pattern and bear the famous Lion, Anchor, and ”G” trademarks of the Gorham Manufacturing Company (Providence, Rhode Island).
