IMPERIAL RUSSIAN ENGRAVED PARCEL-GILT SILVER CANDY BOX - An Imperial Russian silver candy bowl with a hinged lid. Dated late 19th century. The exterior is decorated with delicate engraved floral patterns. Flanked by two flat openwork handles and raised on four feet. Gold-washed interior. Hallmark of 84 Russian silver standard, assay mark, maker's mark 'VI' on the bottom. 'VI' presumably stands for Vasily Ivanov, silversmith and owner of a silverware factory founded in 1870.
