ANTIQUE IMPERIAL RUSSIAN SILVER PHOTO FRAME BY LORIE - An elegant antique Imperial Russian 84 standard silver miniature photograph frame by the prestigious Moscow firm of F.A. Lorie. The rectangular frame with gently convex sides features a beautifully chased and repoussé Neoclassical laurel leaf and ribbon border, framing a gilded inner rim and a cobalt blue insert. The reverse features a sturdy silver wire easel stand. The piece is fully hallmarked on both the frame edge and the easel backing with the maker's mark ”ЛОРІЕ” (Lorie), alongside the 84 zolotnik purity mark and the left-facing kokoshnik mark, dating the piece to 1899–1908. imperial russian silver, lorie silver, antique miniature frame, 84 zolotnik, moscow silver, faberge contemporary.
