EUROPEAN CUT GLASS & STERLING SILVER EASEL PICTURE FRAME - A striking antique easel-back picture frame, circa 1890-1915, featuring heavy, European cut crystal. The wide outer glass frame boasts radiating sunburst and diamond patterns, punctuated by four frosted intaglio medallions depicting baskets of flowers, fruit, and a cornucopia. The inner bezel is crafted of solid sterling silver adorned with Neoclassical crossed ribbons and laurel leaves. Currently houses a reproduction portrait print of Catherine the Great. Dimensions 11 x 8 in. Photo frame 7 1/2 x 5 3/4 in. All measurements are approximate. Condition Good Antique Condition. The wood easel backing is sturdy and functional. The silver bezel shows minor, expected tarnishing. There is a very small barely visible chip to the inner edge of the cut glass border at the bottom center (see photos).
