The composition is a vigorous anatomical study of two muscular male figures (likely wrestlers or bathers) viewed from behind, demonstrating the artist's mastery of foreshortening and human tension. Marks: Signed ”P. Tchelitchew” in ink on the reverse. The reverse also bears handwritten estate inventory numbers ”1298” and a label reading ”4152 / 72 / 150”. Provenance: Acquired directly from the estate of the artist's sister in France.
