RUSSIAN SOVIET ERA PAUL ALEXIS ARAPOFF PASTEL PAINTING - This original early 20th-century pastel on paper is by Russian-American artist Prince Paul Alexis Arapoff (1904-1948). The impressionistic composition depicts a serene picnic scene with a group of figures relaxing on the grass around a white blanket, centered by a standing female figure in a dark swimsuit.
