EKATERINA GRIGORIEVA TWO WOMEN OIL ON CANVAS PAINTING 1993 - A dreamlike, highly textured oil on canvas by Russian artist Ekaterina Evgenievna Grigorieva, titled ”Two Women” (1993). Executed in a magical realist style, the composition centers on a traditional Russian Orthodox church whose dome has been repurposed into a Soviet ”Sporting Club” (Спортивный Клуб). Flanking the sky above the village are two monumental, floating female figures, one bearing a large bouquet of flowers. The piece utilizes thick, expressive impasto brushwork. Marks: Signed lower left. The reverse bears the official export/exhibition label from the Moscow Art Fund (MOXF RSFSR) dating the council approval to June 1993, alongside private collection labels.
