DAVID BURLIUK RUSSIAN OIL PORTRAIT SWISS GIRL PAINTING - A vibrant, heavily textured original oil on canvas by David Burliuk (Russian/American, 1882-1967), the renowned ”Father of Russian Futurism.” Executed in his signature, sculptural impasto technique, the portrait depicts a blond woman seated before a Swiss alpine landscape. Marks: Signed and dated ”BURLIUK 1954” in thick red pigment to the lower left.
