FRENCH BELLE ÉPOQUE OIL ON CANVAS INTERIOR SCENE PAINTING - A charming and atmospheric late 19th-century French oil on canvas interior portrait. Executed in 1898, the composition features an elegant young woman with dark hair wearing a ruffled, light blue and white tea gown. She is seated in a high-backed white wicker armchair, looking out toward the viewer while delicately holding a teacup and saucer. The background reveals an artistic, bohemian interior with a floral arrangement, a dark accent table, and framed artwork. The brushwork blends academic realism in the face with loose, impressionistic strokes in the background. Marks: Signed ”A. Bichy” and dated '98 in the lower right corner.
