ANTIQUE GARDNER IMPERIAL RUSSIAN PORCELAIN CUP SET - A striking Imperial Russian porcelain cup and saucer by the esteemed Gardner Factory (Moscow), circa 1870-1890. Designed in the Neoclassical Empire style, the cup features a sharp, angular handle. The stark white bodies are decorated with heavy, burnished gold geometric borders featuring dark contrasting accents and delicate hanging pendants. Marks: The underside of both pieces bears the red overglaze Gardner factory mark featuring the Imperial double-headed eagle and St. George. gardner porcelain, imperial russian porcelain, antique russian teacup, empire style cup, 19th century russian.
