KPM BERLIN BIEDERMEIER PRESENTATION PORCELAIN CUP SET - An elegant antique German porcelain presentation cup and saucer (Freundschaftstasse) by KPM Berlin, circa 1820-1840. Designed in the classic Biedermeier Campana form, the cup features a striking elevated scroll handle terminating in a rosette. The set is decorated with rich, burnished gold foliate and basket motifs. The front cartouche bears a faded hand-painted German inscription reading ”Viel Glück zu diesem Feste” (Best wishes on this celebration). Marks: Both pieces bear the underglaze blue KPM scepter mark to the underside. kpm berlin porcelain, biedermeier cup, antique presentation cup, kpm scepter mark, 19th century german porcelain. Dimensions Saucer diameter: 5 3/8 in. Cup height: 3 3/4 in. Condition Good Antique Condition. Structurally sound with no chips, cracks, or restorations. The heavy gilded borders and handle remain bright with minor, age-appropriate rubbing. The hand-painted German inscription on the front is significantly faded/rubbed (see photos).
