KPM BERLIN MONOGRAM PORCELAIN CUP SET DATED 1818 - An exceptional, museum-quality German porcelain presentation cup and saucer by KPM Berlin, definitively dated 1818. The flared cup features a sweeping, elevated handle and a luxurious solid gold interior. The front is decorated with a gilt monogram ”D” framed by a hand-painted wreath of pink roses and blue forget-me-nots. The saucer is inscribed in gold script ”Im Jahre 1818.” Marks: Both pieces bear the underglaze blue KPM scepter mark; the saucer includes red overglaze gilder's dots. kpm berlin porcelain, antique presentation cup, 1818 porcelain, biedermeier cup, solid gold interior. Dimensions Saucer Diameter: 5 1/4 in. Cup Height 3 1/2 in. Condition Excellent Antique Condition. Structurally pristine with no chips, cracks, or restorations. The solid gold interior remains incredibly bright. Exhibits minor, age-appropriate rubbing to the gilding on the high points of the handle and top rim.
