IMPORTANT RUSSIAN SILVER-GILT COVERED CHALICE 18TH CENTURY - This 18th-century Russian silver-gilt covered chalice is executed in the monumental Baroque style and features prominent lobed styling across the body and cover. The exterior surfaces are adorned with finely engraved foliate patterns, and the vessel stands on a domed circular foot. The structural stem contains a detailed sculptural figure clinging to a stylized tree column, while the removable lid is crowned with a cast Imperial double-headed eagle finial. The interior bowl and lid interiors retain their original gilded treatment, and multiple components are stamped with Moscow city hallmarks, the 84 zolotnik purity mark, a partial 1740s date, and the maker's initials A.K. antique, czarist, liturgical, ecclesiastical, communion, cup, orthodox, ritual, gold, goblet, pokal Dimensions Height: 15 3/8 in.
