ANTIQUE ROYAL VIENNA PORCELAIN POTPOURRI URN WAGNER - A fine antique Royal Vienna porcelain covered potpourri urn dating to the late nineteenth century featuring a rich royal purple lustre ground with extensive raised gilt scrollwork and beaded borders. The ovoid body is finely hand-painted with a continuous landscape scene of classical mythological figures which is signed Wagner within the reserve. The elegant vessel is raised on three shaped legs terminating in gilt paw feet and topped with modeled lion-head masks, while the removable domed cover features a pierced inner section designed for releasing fragrances and a prominent gilt finial.
