The cylindrical bases are decorated with hand-painted floral cartouches depicting vibrant bouquets of roses, pansies, and tulips against a white ground. The graduated scalloped tiers are united by a central gilt bronze stem that terminates in an ornate loop handle, while the entire structure rests upon four cast gilt paw feet. A refined and highly decorative example of late 19th century French luxury porcelain, combining elegant form, vibrant cobalt ground, floral painting, and elaborate gilding in the Old Paris tradition.
