19TH C RUSSIAN ICON CHRIST PANTOCRATOR WITH SAINTS - A 19th-century Russian Orthodox icon depicting Christ Pantocrator (Lord Almighty) holding an open Gospel book with text and raising his right hand in blessing. The central halo and background are painted in a warm ochre tone within a recessed central field (kovcheg). The borders present two saintly figures depicted in full length with Calligraphic Old Church Slavonic inscriptions: Saint Alexius, Man of God on the left margin and Saint Anna on the right margin. Condition Very good overall condition. The painted surface exhibits fine, stable age craquelure, particularly noticeable across the white halo, along with minor localized surface restorations and light varnish darkening. The wood panel remains stable with slight natural bowing. The reverse shows two empty slots from missing horizontal wooden splints (sponki).
