ANTIQUE FRENCH CHARLES X CRYSTAL AND ORMOLU JEWELRY BOX - A French Charles X period (circa 1820–1830) cut crystal and ormolu jewelry box of square casket form. Constructed with heavy clear glass featuring relief diamond-cut geometric panels set within gilt-bronze mounts decorated with chased foliate and scroll borders. The hinged lid opens to reveal an unlined glass interior, fitted with a front lock plate and accompanied by a vintage metal key. Condition Overall good condition, consistent with age. The surface shows light wear. Small chips and flea bites are present on the crystal edges, corners, and feet points. The interior base displays minor in-making glass flow lines and light surface wear. Ormolu mounts show age-appropriate patina and slight tarnishing. The key turns within the keyhole, but the internal lock mechanism is currently non-functional.
