For the first time in Europe, a major exhibition is devoted to Taoism. It's not that Taoism is new - the first texts date back to the fourth century BC - but simply that a better knowledge of the texts, thanks to the recent dissemination of the Taoist canon, means that it can now take its rightful place among the world's great religions. A selection of just over two hundred objects, half of which come from the Musée Guimet and the other half from foreign museums - England, Germany, the United States and Taiwan - from all fields of art - painting, sculpture, scholarly objects, etc. - allows us to explore the various aspects of this religion.
