Provenance: From the family collection of the Golikov dynasty. Created and preserved by Nikolai Ivanovich Golikov. Created in 1990, this work belongs to the later period of Nikolai Ivanovich Golikov. The composition reflects a pastoral theme, combining scenes of rural life with the decorative stylization characteristic of the Palekh tradition. Set against a deep black ground, the multi-figure scene depicts peasants at work alongside a resting figure, integrated into a rhythmic landscape structure.
