Minor traces of age and light surface wear consistent with use and age. Provenance: From the Golikov family collection (Palekh). Created and preserved within the artist’s personal archive. This intimate decorative composition, In the Forest, belongs to the lyrical side of Nikolai Golikov’s artistic production and reflects the artist’s poetic interpretation of Russian nature. Against a deep black lacquer background, two female figures appear within a stylized forest landscape.
