The composition is animated by thick, directional brushwork and a vivid palette of golden yellow, ochre, emerald green, turquoise, orange, red, and deep blue. A pale pathway curves from the foreground toward a gated entrance in the middle distance, leading the eye toward clustered buildings with warm terracotta roofs and several prominent haystacks beyond.
