Russian Imperial Glasswork. Empire Period Glass Holder - Russian Imperial glasswork. Empire period glass holder. Brass, cut-crystal glass, gilding. Imperial glass manufactory, 1830s. Dimensions: 16 x 14,5 x 11 cm. A finely crafted Russian glass holder with cut-glass insert, richly mounted in gilded brass. The lid, pierced cover is decorated with floral and geometric cutouts and topped with a spherical finial. A braided handle in the shape of a snake completes the design. Similar items can be found in the Sate Hermitage collection and Russian Historical museum in Moscow.
