Russian Silver-Gilt and Gem Stones Cigar Box by Vladimirov - A Russian silver-gilt cigar box set with gemstones, the cover decorated with a radiating sunburst pattern centered with a cabochon red stone, the clasp mounted with a green cabochon. Maker’s mark of Vladimirov manufactory, St. Petersburg, 1908–1917. Dimensions: 13.5 × 8.6 × 5.3 cm. Weight: 371.1 g. Nikolay Gavrilovich Vladimirov was a silversmith, merchant, and owner of a silver workshop in St. Petersburg between 1898 and 1917. He was a supplier to the court of Grand Duchess Alexandra Petrovna. His manufactory specialized in table silver, tea and dining services, and mounted crystal. Vladimirov also maintained a shop at 31 Nevsky Prospect, the main thoroughfare of the imperial capital.
