Russian Silver-Gilt and Champlevé Enamel Travel Frame - Russian Silver-Gilt and Champlevé Enamel Travel Frame Maker’s mark of the 10th Artel, Moscow, 1908–1917 Silver-gilt, champlevé enamel, glass, silk backing Height (with pendant): 8 cm Width: 5.6 cm Thickness: 0.8 cm Weight: 54 g Oval travel frame decorated with a pale blue Greek key (meander) enamel border on a gilt ground. The back is engraved in Russian: “Николай Сергеевич. От дедушки и бабушки. 6 Августа 1909 г.” (“Nikolai Sergeyevich. From grandfather and grandmother. 6 August 1909.”) Hallmarked on the reverse with Moscow assay marks and the maker’s mark of the 10th Artel, one of the prominent Moscow silversmith cooperatives active in the early 20th century.
