Good-General Condition.  גולדברג היה מלומד יהודי יחודי שקיבץ סביבו כת של מעריצים בגרמניה של השליש הראשון של המאה ה20. מעריציו התייחסו אליו בהערצה כלאדמו”ר חסידי ותורתו הופצה בסתר בקרב חבורה של לומדים- מעריצים משל היה האר”י וגוריו . גולדברג זכה גם ליחס מצידם של דמויות כתומס מאן, ברטולד ברכט, גרשם שלום, ולטר בנימין , זאב פון וייזל שהעריץ אותו וכן רבים נוספים. לעיון נוסף ראו : גרשם שלום, מברלין לירושלים עמודים 174-178.
