Zep (Philippe Chappuis, also known as) *1967 - Zep (Philippe Chappuis, also known as) *1967 Little Poetry of the Seasons Titeuf beach Felt-tip pen and Ecoline liquid watercolor on paper for an illustration inaugurating the pages dedicated to summer, and intended for the re-edition of this album published in 2019 by Glénat editions. Reproduced on pages 18 and 19. Signed and dated “January 7, 2019”. Petite poésie des saisons was first published in Italian format in 2005 by the same publisher. 29.7 x 42 cm Titeuf had dreamed of it for so long: a quiet Caribbean or Pacific island far from parents and school, a clear blue sky and sunshine from morning till night, a surfboard to enjoy the waves, and a paradise beach all to himself, where he could laze around for as long as he wished. But, despite this warm atmosphere, the summer attire and sunglasses, this idyllic image is somewhat misleading: we are not really by the sea. However, it is interesting to note that cat litter can easily replace fine sand. It's almost like being there! Only a few vahines, exotic trees and flowers are missing to perfect the illusion. In any case, Titeuf is satisfied with the result.
