Texts by Hélène Bruller. 17.1 x 16 cm This didactic and cheerful book, which answers many questions, is aimed at everyone, and it was the subject of an exhibition in 2009 in Geneva, ”Zizi sexuel l’expo!”, subtitled ”love and sexuality explained to young people”. It also had its detractors, who were then seeking votes to get elected. Thus, in 2018, during the presidential campaign in Brazil, Jair Bolsonaro violently attacked the authors, accusing them of promoting homosexuality in schools, which had the effect of drawing public attention to the Guide (Aparelho sexual e cia. – Um guia inusitado para crianças descoladas) which was then little known to Brazilians, and increasing sales figures. Since its release, this work has sold over two million copies and been translated into numerous languages: German (Das grosse Piephahn-Lexikon), English, Bulgarian, Spanish, Finnish (Seksin zalat), Dutch, Italian, Polish (Przewodnik dla seksolatków), Czech (Titeufova sexuální výchova). ”When the new edition of the Guide came out in 2020, I sent a signed copy to Bolsonaro” (Zep).
