Cigarette box made of silver using the nilo technique, dimensions - length 10 cm, width 7 cm, depth 2 cm. Iraq, early 20th century, made of silver, a rectangular cigarette box consisting of two shallow silver leaves hinged on the wide side, while a small catch opens the box on the opposite side. The upper part is decorated with an architectural landscape, representing a mosque. The lower part is decorated with a river scene, with sailboats, boats and what appears to be a floating house. A pair of palm trees stand on the left side. The work is signed in small writing on the bottom, upper left. Source: private collection.
