Colored ”Mizrah” page - map of the Land of Israel, view of the Temple and stories from the Bible - Breslau, early 20th century ”Mizrah” page in lithographic print. Published by Graphische Kunstanstalten, Breslau, [circa early 20th century]. A page that is generally described as a gate made of three arches. In the opening of the middle arch we see an overall view of the temple hall and at the top of it an inscription: ”From Mizrahm Shemesh to the coming of the Hallel Shem God”; Below this large picture two small pictures are visible, ”Crying and obituary at the Western Wall” and ”Destruction of the Temple”. In the arches on the right and left are inlaid descriptions of many figures and events from the Bible - starting with Noah's sacrifice and ending with Solomon's trial and the building of the Temple. At the top of the page, above the arches, are inlaid the Tablets of the Covenant, the symbols of the twelve tribes, and two round medallions containing two maps - ”Map of the Tribes of Yeshuron” ”And in it is the Land of Israel divided into tribal possessions, and the ”Map of the Exodus from Egypt”. Between the two maps appears the verse ”And I will carry you on the wings of eagles and bring you to myself”. At the bottom of the page is an inscription: ”Remembrance will die before [by?] the work of the sages of Jerusalem” . 37.5x49.5 cm. Average condition. Attached to a paper board. Along the fold marks.
